SWANSEA–ON THE HARD SHOULDER
"Ugly, lovely town" was how Dylan Thomas described this small town in South Wales. This photographic documentation is an attempt to uncover life on the fringes of Europe. It presents a picture of a Europe whose future is ambiguous, a changing Europe shouldering its own past on its journey along the roads of time. Whether the future brings stagnation, progress or a step backwards remains to be seen.
